St. Maarten in the Lesser Antilles is a unique island which is equally split between France and the Netherlands. The Dutch half of the island is highly developed, and known for its beautiful scenery, eclectic jewelry and inventive cocktails. The French side of the island is renowned for its natural wonders.

The island my be small, but the fun is big. Marigot, in French St. Maarten is the place to shop  for designer clothes and jewelry, up to 40% off what U.S. retail. Philipsburg is the capitol of Dutch St. Maarten, and is home to international trade and trendy Caribbean cafes.

Top Port Adventures

  • Family Fun Beach and Nature Walk on Orient Bay Beach: Take a guided walking tour, relax on the shore or boogie board the afternoon away on this beach excursion. All ages.
  • Mountain Top Downhill Rainforest Trek: This Port Adventure begins at the highest point of the island. Guests ride in an open-air safari truck to Pic Paradise where you will have 360 degrees of visibility, so bring your camera. After you have enjoyed the views, you begin your descent on foot. The 2 1/2 mile downhill trek takes you past a sugar plantation and to Chewbacca Rock. Ages 8 and up.
