“I’m going to the Cayman Islands.” Just saying that makes it sound as if you are going on a luxury adventure to a tropical island, and you are! Grand Cayman is the largest of the Cayman Islands, which are actually the top land masses of an underwater mountain range. Christopher Columbus explored the area in the early 1500s, he called the island “Las Tortugas” for the turtles who call the island home. Today, it is no surprise that the main industry for the island is tourism.
Hike, snorkel or visit the famed tortugas. You can also talk a relaxing stroll in George Town’s shopping district.
Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, a woodland and wildlife park.
Visit Hell, seriously. The quirky seaside village of Hell – which is really a slice of paradise – has its own post office, so you can send your friends a postcard from Hell.
