Disney Fantasy Kids Clubs

Disney Cruise Line’s award-winning kids clubs attract families and keep them coming back time and time again. Programming in the Oceaneer Club & Lab, Edge and Vibe are included in the cost of your fare. And with some of the longest complementary operational hours at sea, parents are able to enjoy the adults-only activities or a meal at Palo knowing their kids are safe and having a blast.

“it’s a small world” nursery

Children under the age of three enjoy age appropriate fun in the ship’s nursery. Time in the nursery is by reservation only, and a fee is charged by the hour. It is recommended that you book your child’s time in the nursery once you have completed your online checkin. You’ll have the peace of mind that your little one will be taken care of while you enjoy a little down time. You can even schedule nursery time for when you will be off ship enjoying time in one of Disney’s many ports of call.

Reservations are recommended. Your stateroom will be charged for nursery time booked, even if you pick up your child early.

Oceaneer Club & Lab

The Oceaneer Club & Lab are the hub of activity for guests ages 3 to 12. I like to talk about them together because they are connected by an activity center in the back of the clubs.

The Oceaneer Club is designed with younger kids ages 3 to 7 in mind complete with play structures, activity centers and dress up areas. The activities available reflect this.

The Oceaneer Lab was created with 8 to 12 year olds in mind. Wacky science, animation academy and cooking lessons are just a few of the awesome activities awaiting older kids.

While your child is signed into secured programming, they may go between the Club & Lab via the secure activity corridor in the rear of the club that connects the two areas – which is especially great for kids in the middle who will want to take advantage of the activities in both areas.

Important Information

Children must be completely potty trained and able to use the restroom unassisted to utilize DCL’s kids clubs.

Your child will be fitted with a bracelet (similar in style to Walt Disney World’s MagicBands). The bracelet must be worn while your child is checked into programming. It acts as a GPS-like device, so Youth Activities Crew Members can track your child’s location within the club/lab at all times. This bracelet must be returned on the final night of the cruise or your onboard account will incur a $12.95 charge. If you want to keep it as a souvenir, you may do so for the same cost.

DCL Prep School Tip: Does your child have a stuffed animal they cannot be separated from? Is your child likely to put the toy down and forget where? DCL Counselors to the rescue! The Youth Activities Crew will be happy to tag your toy with the same style bracelet your child must wear (assuming the tag fits the toy). As long as the toy is in the Oceaneer Club or Lab, it can be found. Trust me on this one!

Edge & Vibe

Young kids don’t have all the fun. Teens & tweens have their own dedicated clubs, too. And just like the Oceaneers Club & Lab – No adults allowed (with the exception of Open Houses).

Tweens ages 11 to 14 have Edge to themselves. Games, ship wide scavenger hunts, Gender Wars ultimate trivia… the list goes on and on.
Teens aged 14 to 17 get to enjoy Edge. Now, I was allowed to briefly walk around this space once and only once. Then it was made clear (by my own son) that my presence was no longer needed. That is what makes DCL great! Teens have a space of their own, and trust me, Vibe is the place to be. Disney Youth Activities Counselors are always on hand to keep the fun rolling and to supervise when teens want to just chill and relax on the splash deck.
