Disney Cruise Line Fitness Center

Each Disney Cruise Line ship has a full fitness center and locker room facilities available to all guests over the age of 18. A handful of fitness classes are also offered during each cruise, so be sure to read though your Personal Navigator each night to see the next day’s classes. And if you want to stay in shape (or stay on track to getting in shape) each ship offers a variety of non-gym activities to keep you moving. Pack those comfy shoes, you’ll need them!

Cardio machines line the floor to ceiling windows providing an inspiring view for your workout. The fitness center also hosts a number of group classes including yoga and spin classes. Spots can be limited. Check your Personal Navigator for times and locations.

DCL Prep School Tip: Runners of all ages will enjoy the track on the Deck 4 Promednade. This outdoor track completely encircles the ship and is totally covered! And if your high schooler is in training for cross country – or any other sport – this is the place for them as treadmills in the fitness center are only open to guest ages 18 and up.

Other Fitness Opportunities

Each Disney Ship has Goofy’s Sports Deck with a basketball court that can be used as a mini soccer field.

The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy have a 400 yard jogging/walking track on Deck 4 which completely encircles the ship. On the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder the track is approximately 350 yards.

Running Rule of Thumb

  • Disney Dream & Disney Fantasy: 2.5 Laps = 1 Mile
  • Disney Wonder & Disney Magic: 3 Laps = 1 Mile

Finally, don’t forget about all the stairs you will be climbing and descending on the ship. You will be shocked and amazed at the amount of stairs you will be taking. All. The. Time! Luckily the stairways are spacious and beautiful. The carpeting is plush, which helps your feet on the hundreds of flights you will climb during your cruise. Just think of all the calories you will burn without even stepping foot in the Fitness Center.

Locker Room

The locker rooms adjacent to the Fitness Center are complimentary for all guests – whether you actually worked out or not. Hey, sometimes you just need another bathroom in the morning. No shame in that. And what’s better, is that it isn’t frowned upon. The only rule is that the locker room and showers are for guests ages 18 and older only. No children are allowed!

Elemis shampoo, conditioner and body wash products are provided for guest use in the spa showers and bathroom. And there are plenty of towels and even full-sized hair dryers available. If you have the time, take a look at the tile work in this area. Disney really pays attention to every single detail on its ships, even in the locker rooms!

Juice Bar

Stop at the Juice Bar for a refreshing way to conclude your workout or for a pick-me-up after a draining day in the sun. Drinks in the Juice Board are not included in the price of the cruise, and prices vary based on the juices and boosters you choose.
